Probate Attorneys Take 1/3 to 1/2 of Estate?!
is this the new norm? i mean especially with estates where real properties sell for $1-5+ MILLION each nowadays?!

Not enough information. In most States (I did not catch where your matter is located) the basic fees for probate are dictated by statute. In CA, where I’ve worked several thousand probates (!) the laws are very clear; both attorney and personal rep fees are based on gross value of estate, on a regressive, sliding scale. Litigation or additional work required in known as “extraordinary fees” and here they must be approved by the bench officer (judge).
