CA LLC tax military?

Hello,

I am looking for some guidance on that out of state LLC $800 tax from California. The more I research the more vague it feels. I am in the military and while my home of record is in California I don't actually reside there. I do pay the state/federal taxes have spent a minimum amount of time there out last 11 years. As I read it comes down to the doing business in California, but since I'm continually serving internationally I am not actually doing business while residing in the state. Any advice would be appreciated. TIA
