Revoking a Trust to regain Property control

Hello, looking for some advice as I continue to look for an attorney. My mother signed some properties in NC to individual as a family trust. It is odd as the trust shows our family name and we are trying to find out how to revoke the trust and exclude this individual. He has been managing them and making mortgage payments; however, my mother still shows her as the mortgage holder as well as the one on tax records. I saw the document that was filed at the county records office and does not look to be an irrevocable trust. What would be the next step and has anyone dealt with revoking a trust before? Thank you!
