Tax Accountant Recommendations

Hi all,

We run a successful small business in Maryland and of course with that success comes a huge tax bill. This past year I have become very interested in the real estate investing world as a way to help offset our tax liability. We hope to have our first short term rental in 2022.

We have been with the same accounting firm for some time and don't feel that they are being proactive enough in helping us optimize any tax savings strategies. I'm wondering if anyone in the Maryland/DC area can suggest a great accountant to help tackle our business and personal taxes. Major bonus points for someone who specializes in REI and can help educate us on the different tax savings strategies available to us. It would be great to find someone close enough for an in person meeting once a year, but certainly open to all virtual support if that person is otherwise a good fit.
