401k rollover into self directed account
I am looking through options to fund my next purchase for a BRRRR scenario. My first and most obvious answer is to refi and cash out with the equity in my current property. I have not crunched the numbers but I should be able to pull around 30-40k for a down payment and remodel expenses without effecting my current payments. I would like to try and avoid a cash out refi, in an attempt to keep my payments the same or even lower them or shorten the loan period. I stumbled upon a very vague article a few weeks ago about rolling over your 401k into I believe an IRA account that is completely self directed. This would be penalty free and would allow me to put my money towards real estate assets as well as keep the stocks I own as well.
