Getting started in rental properties

Right now I'm barely got into the Pro of BiggerPockets.

I'm looking to learn how to be able to look at deals & get the right financing to start. Willing to work and put in the time since I have plenty of free time at the moment. All I need is a sense of direction in how to do it and get it done. I've read books but I'm stuck on how to actually do it. Taking action. Looking for guidance on getting a 4-Plex or larger and creating cash flow for myself or anyone I partner with. I currently live in Laredo, Tx.
