FHA loan for a traveling W2 contract worker???

Hi!

I'm looking to use an FHA loan on a house hack for a SFH in either the Tacoma/Seattle area or Des Moines, IA (my hometown). I know that an FHA loan requires owner occupancy, however, how does this work for a W2 traveling worker???

example: travel nurse/therapist's who have a primary residence for tax purposes in their home state but don't actually live there.

Thanks!
