How to purchase land to build apartments and townhomes

There is 6 acres for sell close to a major road, that I would like to purchase and build 2 6 unit multiplexes and about 4 townhomes. I'm not sure how i would approach a lender or what type of lender to approach with this type of idea. What type of proposal would I need to make this happen?
