[Travis Ward-Osborne]

Hey BP! My name is Travis Ward-Osborne and I just got turned on to Bigger Pockets by a buddy of mine. I’ve spent the last few days devouring the podcast and buying some of the books that I’ve been hearing about. I’m very fresh at this.

About me, I live in New York City where I am a performer on Broadway. Since I moved here, I’ve had great success in my career, but as you probably know, even the *most* successful performers aren’t working all the time, and in New York where rent is... exorbitant let’s say... it can be tough to stay afloat. Combine that with my 10 month old son and my fiancée, his stay at home mom, and you can see why such a powerful investment vehicle was so attractive to me.

From the research that I've done so far, I'm very interested in the BRRRR method. I've always been interested in house flipping, so when I heard about BRRRR it seemed like flipping with something a little extra.

Anyway, thanks for reading my post! If there are any other investors/agents/brokers/etc in the Astoria area, hit me up. I’m interested in hearing how you have financed your own deals with little or no of your own money, especially in the New York market. Also interested in local investor clubs.
