Fund & Grow Membership

Hi BP folks!

I recently signed up for Fund&Grow. I'm looking for someone to partner with someone on the membership. As a young investor the up front fee is a little much for me to swallow at $4,000. However, if I can find someone who wants to join and split the fee with me before June 30th then it would be only $2,000 for me and $2,000 for you.

I was referred to join Fund&Grow by a business partner. They are a legitimate company that helps you access 0% lines of business credit and help increase your personal credit score.

My Stats

  • 750 credit score
  • I have 5,900 available to me in personal credit

Because of my low level of personal credit, my program will be 18 months instead of 12 with the first 6 months being dedicated to increasing my personal credit to 20k so I can become eligible for a business line of credit.

If you have been thinking about joining Fund&Grow or are looking for creative financing please PM me. I don't want to pay the full price and you shouldn't either! Partner with me and we can both benefit from this amazing program.

Also you may notice that other forums state the fee at being $3,000, but that was with the Morris discount and I believe they have increased their price from a year ago for the membership. Thank you!

Hi Madelaine,

What ultimately made you decide not to continue with Fund & Grow? Were you able to cancel your account? I am attempting to cancel my Fund & Grow account now and I am having issues.

Hi Tisha!

I have a mentor in Eugene who, when I asked them about whether they thought going with this program was a good idea, made me realize that I don’t need it at this point in time.

I ended up expanding my personal credit by $8,000 on my own. And I'm planning to get business credit through my LLC I'm setting up. So it felt like a waste of capital I could be putting towards my investing.

It took me a month to cancel. I had to call for two weeks before they said they would cancel. Then I had to call again to verify it was actually canceled. They finally confirmed they were sending me a check after three weeks and then it arrived in the mail on July 1st. But it took a long time, and a lot of persistence. I’m grateful I decided not to go with them. I feel capable of increasing my credit limit on my own.

Hi, They are giving me a hard time because they actually did get me some credit but it was all under my personal social security#. I was expecting business credit. So, now they are telling me they will close the accounts that they opened for me. And they are also trying to take 1/2 of the money that I paid them instead of giving me the entite payment that I made. I have only been with them for 2 weeks. I think it is ridiculous that they would try these harsh moves on people who are obviously coming to them because we are in need of help. Had they gotten you any credit for you before you tried to cancel?

T.

@Madelaine Au  Good to hear you just went ahead and got more personal credit on your own.  My score is about the same as yours, and I applied for Discover 6 months ago and got a $10k limit, then AMEX 3 months ago and got $15k. Basically if you're in the upper credit tier it's not too difficult, and no sense in paying someone to do it.

Regarding the company, I've been following the misc posts for a while, everyone does say starting out it uses your personal credit to start, then they open business lines.

Personally for RE, I don't see it as a great model.  Lots of risk trying to pull money off these 0% lines and paying them back in time.  Lots of moving parts.  I find it easier to go to a bank and get the funding in one shot.

@Tisha Conner I signed up with them on a Friday and decided to cancel on Monday so they had not secured any credit for me. I’m grateful I didn’t, because I saw in the cancellation policy that they would close all credit they opened for you (which would harm your chances of upping your personal credit limit). Good luck, I found the process of canceling with them somewhat painful.

@Tom S. Thank you! I’m planning on applying for Discover and Amex, but want to do it several months a part so as not to alarm lenders (they worry you are in financial straits if you do it all at once). Yeah I was shocked at how easy it was to get approved through CapitalOne, I’m grateful I have focused on building my credit score since I was young.

I agree it’s an overly complicated way to do RE investing. I’ve been working on building relationships with hard money and private lenders instead.

I worked with Fund & Grow and have gotten a tremendous start with my business, based on the $67,000 support Brandon Kroon provided. I definitely want to continue working with him to put my business on the edge of 7 figures in less than 1 year. His assistance, updates and follow through were huge during the funding process. I am already preparing for the next round. He definitely made July ‘Independence Time’ for me. Thanks Fund & Grow!!

I keep hearing people complain about getting personal credit funding and not business credit. You need good personal credit to get business credit.... You guys have to do your research on credit so you better understand why they do things the way they do and, not just post on forums like you had a bad experience with a company... Ask questions! Yes lenders look at your Personal credit to see if your responsible with that and, to better make a decision on how much to give you in business credit. You have to build a good personal profile to the attain business credit! This is why they help you build your personal side first (if you need it) so you can better qualify to get business funding! Everything starts with your personal credit profile! Im a client of F&G now and, i completely understand everything they told. I started with them about 2 weeks ago with a 720-745 credit score, and about 12k in total personal credit. Im working on removing some inquiries from my credit so, i can be in the best position possible to get high limit accounts when they start to submit applications. My LLC was formed in Feb of 2019 so, it's been around 1 year and 3 months since it's been formed. Also you guys should know, business credit utilization does not report on your personal credit! You don't have to worry about keeping balancing under 30%. Then your getting 0% interest on the cards they get for you, which some come with rewards and points! You can't beat that.... Why wouldn't i gladly pay these guys $4,000 ($3,500 my discount signing up through morris invest) to get me over $150,000 in the course of 12 months? It's a no brainer. Even if you don't get much your first round, they continue to manage and work on everything for you to help get you as much funding as possible! Let the pros do the work and, gives you time to continue building your business while, they send out your cards. I haven't even gained anything with them yet but, i have a close friend that started with them 2 years ago and, is still with them now getting new rounds of funding and compiling cards into one account. I would say, if your on the fence about it just visit their Youtube channel, watch the reviews and the people they bring on to talk about they're experience working with them. Also for the trolls - Yes i'm a real person, No i am not affiliated with F&G in anyway, other than being a client. I recommend these guys because, they're very transparent and, thats important in understanding how things work! Reach out if anyone has questions! Subscribe to my Youtube channel - Corner To Office, Thanks

Thanks for sharing, may I ask some additional questions re: your experience with F&G?

I'm also here looking to get more information on Fund&Grow and trying to see what others' experience with F&G has been. I'm Canadian and wondering how it would affect the process if I opened an LLC in the US. (which state is best, tax implications, etc).
Either way, if I ever do decide to go ahead and join F&G, I would be looking for someone who would want to join in with me and share the cost with F&G's BOGO offer.
