How do investors get around banks limiting you to 4-10 properties

Hello, I’m new to BiggerPockets and real estate investing. I’m trying to read/research as much as I can before I start investing. One thing that I recently came across was that it may not be possible to get a loan for a fifth investment loan and even less probability getting more than ten. It seems like there are certainly many investors out there that have portfolios much higher than ten do I’m just trying to see how people do it.
