HELOC and Loan From Same Bank

Has anyone gone through the same bank as their HELOC to get a loan to buy a property? Say I have a $50,000 HELOC and want to use that as a down payment. Essentially the bank is funding itself to get into the loan. It doesn't seem like they would go for it, but does anyone have experience with it?
