Can this be done on my primary residence?
Hey everybody! I've been doing alot research on the Heloc strategy but I keep coming up short on the answers I'm looking for. So let me explain my situation.
I bought my primary a year and half ago for 87k. Not alot of time to pay down the principle I know but I have also done major renovations in that time. Put new siding and a new front porch on. I've also finished my upstairs along with a new bathroom. So I know I've built equity into the house.
My question is, can I get a heloc without it having appraised or should I have it appraised then apply for a heloc? Or will this not be feasible regardless of what I do?
