Help me get financing on this duplex!
I'm looking at a $235K 4bd 2bth duplex in my area. Current rents are about $1k per side. My family and I recently bought a house so we don't have a lot of cash reserves (~$10k), but we'd like to make an offer on this house. If we saved as we are saving we could afford 15% down in 4-5 months.
How can we get financing on something like this given our cash reserve constraints? Have you done anything like this before? What advice do you have?
