Advice, trying to sell one house and fix up another

we bought a bank owned house that we want to fix up and live in. In order to get the money to fix the house we have to sell our current house. Well it has been two months, going on three and we have not sold our house. We used a private lender to buy the other house  because we have bad credit. We went through bankruptcy last yand. we have six months to hand over $17,000 as down payment for the $85,000 loan.  We have at least $60,000 in equity in our current home, but can’t use it because of our credit. The bank owned house is not livable. Should we just put both houses for sell?
