Hard Money to ReFinance quesiton

Hi there,

New to the forum.  Considering to a hard money loan on a 250k and under property and then re-financing within 6 months.  Never done hard money.  

What if you lose your job or something very unfortunate occurs and you are unable to re-finance, what would happen at that point?  Any and all advice is appreciated.
