Bank recommendations for HELOCs

I've had challenges with Chase and Wells Fargo for tapping into our home equity...predominantly because I didn't apply for funds prior to my transition from corporate consulting to self-employment. Does anyone have recommendations for banks in Washington State that are "generous" and expeditious with their HELOC lending?

Definitely try your small local bank. I just close with a small bank in my area and the process was very easy and fast. 80%LTV

You will still have to show two years tax return, good credit and statements.

Good luck !
