Dual FHA loans - Memphis
So I currently have 0 rental properties and I'm trying to get a plan together for my first two acquisitions. I understand that the FHA has a great loan program with low interest rates and low down payment, plus an owner-occupancy requirement. That is definitely my plan for the first quadruplex.
So here's my question. If my wife is capable of independently qualifying for an FHA loan, and we live in the rental for 12+ months. Can I then separately qualify for another quadruplex under a new FHA loan? Obviously we would have to move, but I'm not sure if this breaks the spirit of the program and I'm curious if anyone has any experience one way or the other.
Thanks in advance, Chris.
