HELOC called due before draw period ends
Shopping for a HELOC. A couple quick questions.
Any reason, other than a due-on-sale or non-paying borrower, why a lender would call a HELOC due before the end of the draw period? Can they for any reason at any time?
If so, how common is that? Has this happened to anyone here on BP?
Looking to BRRRR, but don't want to be caught of guard mid-BRRRR.
Thank you!

When the Great Recession hit, many HELOC lenders froze the credit lines.
They didn't call them immediately due, but folks were cut off from making further draws on them.
