Low Value Properties Free and Clear. Can I borrow?

I've got several single-family rental properties.  All of them are free and clear.  I've sought financing; however, I have been unsuccessful.  My credit isn't great and my income isn't great either.  But, there are 5 free and clear properties worth around $35K each just sitting there unencumbered.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to squeeze some cash out of these for investing?  These are in Lansing, MI.
