Contract for Deed. Any risk for Due-on-Sale Clause?
Hello BiggerPockets Community,
I am currently looking at a deal where I am considering offering contract for deed with existing financing in place. My question is when I go to record the contract for deed at the courthouse, would that possibly open the door for the lender to call the note due? I would assume not because it is a contract for deed and the deed would stay in the seller's name until full payment on the contract is made. Am I possibly missing something here?
Also open to any opinions on this method or things to consider with this method.
