Proper Licensing for Hard Money Lending

Hello - does anyone know if there are specific licensing or regulatory to originate hard money loans?  Specifically will only be doing loans in California.

I've already done a few on my own using my own money so I have the process and chain of documents - wondering if I wanted to accept investor money or start a fund, if there were certain licenses or SEC approvlas that are needed.
