Closing Options
I have a conventional loan in underwriting but my loan officer is anticipating a bottleneck with the underwriter that could delay closing which is scheduled in a week and a half. There is no risk of the underwriter denying the loan but the purchase agreement has all financial contingencies waived. What is the best course of action to proceed without possibly losing the earnest money? Switch to private money to close?
