Keep W2 for lending ?

My husband and I have just started investing. We both make good money to be able to support our household whether it’s just his or my income. Would it be a good idea to keep both of jobs and maybe reduce hours/responsibilities on one to have more time for real estate? Or just go down to one salary? We’ve been talking about it for a few weeks and are concerned if it would make taking out any mortgages/loans difficult
