Need help with Financing
Hi guys. My wife and I live in Texas and are looking to invest here, Florida, or Louisiana for our first property (SFH). Can you guys give me some recommendations for finding a good conventional financing lender? I'm hoping to connect with a lender who has the option of 85% LTV lending and, above all else, one who we can trust and is knowledgeable about RE investing. Thanks in advance.

I would say start with your local community banks and credit unions. I know a lender near me that can lend up to 85% LTV on Single-family homes. Just google "local community banks" or something of that nature. Then, call and ask to speak to the mortgage loan officer. I like being able to call (or even text) my lender and build that relationship quickly, and that's not always something you can do at a big national bank.
I'd make sure your lender is familiar working with real estate investors, too. Bonus points if they invest themselves!
