[Oakland] Appraisals during COVID

Hi All,

During this shelter in place, do you know if appraisers are doing drive-by only, or are they actually going into units?  I'm in contract on a vacant fixer unit that needs foundation work.  I'm afraid if the appraiser goes in to inspect, he's going to find a lot of issues to report.  Any thoughts on this?

@Chris Mason

@Chris Mason - Do you have any insight?

Thanks,
Calvin

I'm still doing interior inspections, depends on the requirements of the lender. I heard FHA is going with drive by inspections. I recommend you stay away from hiding property issues from an appraiser (fraud).
