Lack of credit lines, looking for mortgage?

Hello,

21 year old first time home buyer

So I have been housing hunting for 4-5 months and getting a feel for talking to my realtor and what to look for and now I'm looking to get a loan so I talked to my credit union and applied for a FHA but i lack 3 credit lines of $1000 each for the last 12 months

So I got a call saying what they can do is 2 mortgages (the larger 80% 30 year mortgage would go to another establishment and I guess and the remaining is is done by the credit union that I'm with) they and i need to put 10% down on a 100k home they said it would be about $600 a month.

or

I open up another visa card with a max of $1000 and a $1000 line of credit too and wait 12 months to look for a house.

what should a be asking about mortgages when talking with banks? what should i know?
