Do I need 20% on my 2nd home which will be my primary residence?
I currently live in a home I bought with approximately 3% down. Values have gone up and now I’d say i have around to 15-18% equity.
We want to move but don’t want to sell this home. This was our primary residence that I’d like to keep and rent out.
My question is, to get a loan on a new residence, will I need 20% down since we are keeping the first home? We would like to move to the second home and that will become our primary residence but we don’t have 20% down for it.
