Real Estate Rehabbers Have Experienced Varying Success in 2012

Are you a real estate investor who focuses on rehabs? Many of our rehabber clients have had success in 2012, while others have had varying success. But what is success? Does that mean you sell the property for the ARV that you counted on?

Some of our less successful rehabbers had to lower their price below what they considered to be the low end of their ARV. Some of them went way over budget on their repairs and ended up not making a profit.

Have you had a successful rehab project in 2012? What were the biggest threats to the project’s success that you encountered and how did you overcome these?

Have you had a rehab project that floundered this year? Please share reasons why the project was less than a success.
