Any experience with promissory notes and deed of trusts in TX?

I have made private loans before, but not in the state of Texas. Can anyone provide guidance on key terms to include as the lender?  What regulations exist in TX different than other states?  I am looking to make a loan secured by a deed of trust on the asset.
