Purchasing Two Condos in the Same Building - Do I need Two loans

So, I am in the process of purchasing two condo units in the same building. Is it customary for me to pay for 2 appraisals, 2 lender application fees and etc. The condos are being sold by the same owner.  Do lenders not allow for this to be sold as a package or something similar to a two family. Granted, I know they are on plot and lot.

Please shed some light on this.
