Private Money Advertisements

Rather random question here regarding "spam" solicitations for financing. I will often see on MeetUp or other similar forums guys post private money availability with flat rates as a solicitation. This will usually occur across at least 2 if not upwards of 10 groups that I am a member and usually within seconds so I know it is a CRM or other tool being used. They pretty much always use GMail accounts with some creative "joesmithfunding" name. I am curious if anyone has actually used/spoken with any of these types of solicitors? My IT background "scam" alarm is too high to do so myself, but their solicitation is usually an attractive rate compared with my usual rates so thought I would see what folks here thought.
