The first time you raised capital, how did you do it?

I am looking to raise capital so that I can add to my rental portfolio. I have listened to podcast and read a book. None of these talk about deal structure in depth. I have a large list of people that I know that have SOME money and few people that have a LOT money. Would I be better off offering say 10 people an opportunity to invest 25K each, or one or two people the opportunity to invest 100k plus each? What would the deal structures look like from some experienced peoples view?

@Shane Ward

Is it easier to feed ten mouths or one?!

I think it is a personal preference. It depends which people you'd rather work with? Also, whatever route you take, keep in mind: if your investors are completely passive you're offering a security and need to work with a securities attorney.

Best!
