Title Company whats the SSN for refinancing closing

I am in the process of refi-ing the property.
The title company is asking for my SSN so that they can obtain the payoff from the current lender.
Given my desire not to share this information unless it's absolutely necessary, is there a way to avoid giving it out? Perhaps I can supply with a specific Authorization to release the payoff or something?
