Get loan from local bank to investment property or local to me?

Hello all, new to the forms here and new investor. I'm currently house hacking (working out really well) and have grown up with my parents having some rental properties.

As the question states in the title is it has to get a loan from a bank that is local to the area I'll be investing or a bank that is local to me? I seem to recall from some podcasts that it is better to go with a bank that is local to the investment property and usually a smaller community bank.

I have 20 percent down for the property pricing in looking at.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance. Going to banks today.
