Mortgage Tax on Blank Loan/Mortgage in Various States

Question on how this plays out:

If I take, for example, a 2 MM loan across 5 properties in 5 states. Would I have to pay mortgage tax in all 5 states on the 2 MM, or would the lender probably required something like 120% of allocated value to be recorded/taxed? or am I missing completely?
