Private lenders on BP

Hello, While reading Brandon Turner’s - The book in investing in real estate with no and low money down- Brandon mentions in one of his examples that a lady that was fresh into RA was able to obtain a private lender from BP. Can someone explain their experience or how that came about. Thank you in advance!

I dont know how that came about, but I can tell you what I did.

I hustled. Then I hustled some more.

After being in the business for several years, done quite a few successful transactions, and I had told everyone what I do, I asked 100 friends if anyone knew of someone who had a self directed IRA. One of my friends said, I have one, how much do you need.

I kept asking others. Some would say, I dont know of anyone, but if I hear of anyone having a self directed IRA or cash in the bank, I will let you know.

Just so you know, I asked my broke friends, rich friends, everybody I knew at the REIAs and people that I didnt know at the REIAs. Thats how I got several people to lend me their retirement money and cash that they have.

They know that I am a safe bet because they see what I have done in the past and what I am doing right now. I post my deals on FB, instagram, etc. People know what I am doing.

ps Its a book. My story does not sell. The exception sells. Think about it. Hard work is the rule.
