Where should I go for a home equity loan? Quick and trustworthy?

I need to get a home equity loan, about $15000 (have about $100000 equity in the home, been in it for 1 year.)  Just wondering if there's a quick and reliable online vendor, or should I just take my RE broker's advice (I trust her) and use her "guy" (she's never done home equity through him, to me it just sounds like another person who needs to take a cut)?  My bank, which is also my mortgage company, says they can do some kind of cash-out refinance, which I want to stay away from, not interested in going through that whole thing again, change my payments, for a $15000 loan.  Any links I should go to or sites I could study, articles, etc., would be very welcomed. If I try to research this online myself, I just know I'll find thousands of resources, none of which I would be able to trust.  I see that I can't request a loan or lender on here, but I hope that doesn't mean I can't ask if "quicken loans" is a terrible idea or not, or if anyone's had good luck with a site or vendor.
