Heloc on temporary dwelling

I’m getting ready to temporarily move back into my rental property, while searching for a new primary residence in the coming months. I have a lot of equity in this rental property, and want to utilize it. If I establish homestead residence there and take out a 80% heloc, will it void the heloc when I move? Or will the bank call it due?
