Should I save my VA loan and use a FHA loan instead?

I'm looking to buy my first multi this summer. I'll soon be eligible for the va loan. I had a thought recently that I should use an Fha loan first then after a year buy my second property with the va loan. My reasoning for going FHA first is because it's a great loan and I wouldn't qualify after I buy with a VA loan. Does this plan sound like the best option?
