Qualify for primary residence when you work out of area
I am trying to qualify for a first time home buyer conventional loan, but I work on ships for more than half the year. However i intend to be occupying the home whenever i am not at work. A lender informed me that i would only be able to qualify for a 2nd home loan, is this true? I don't think that being away for work is grounds for fraud. Any info would be appreciated.
