Recently my Wife and I relocated to help in a family business, she quit her job as a Pharmacist, and I continue to invest, her new position, is not w-2 income based its more equity building vs income, we have 18 rentals, but rehabs as we grow as you all know takes a ton of cash, I can borrow on the commercial side for rentals and flips, but the new location property values are much higher and we are trying to find a personal residence. We will have about $170K cash when we close our old house next month, but due to not being able to prove income I cant seem to find a lender for an additional $70-100K , we have assets, but most are un tappable, like we cant take 401K loans because we dont work for those companies anymore, and I really dont want to borrow against some of the paid off rentals (we have several paid for)  for a personal home. are there any lenders that can finance a personal residence without proof of income? Dodd Frank seems to have made my situation a challenge.

Have you considered renting so you can keep your cash working for you harder in your real estate investments?
