Reflection on a new reality

Here is something I find absurd but true. I can walk today into a Land Rover dealer (Not that I would, but I could...) and buy myself a brand spanking new Range Rover for $60K with very little money down and with my FICO printout only. However, I cannot get conventional financing for a paid off $60K house... As Bob Dylan's song goes..."But the times, they are changing..."
