Hard Money Lender Rescue

I am ready to move forward with a deal for a flip property. I developed a relationship with a HML who was also ready to move forward contingent on inspection of the property. I have now been waiting a month for the lender to inspect the property and he has since stopped returning my calls and messages. It's a miracle that this deal hasn't already gone to someone else, but the realtor just received a 203k offer. I can still get this property but I'm in need of a rescue lender or another option. Any advice? Is this deal doomed?

My guess is the lender never had any money and probably wanted a few hundred bucks from you up front once they got that they went dark.. lots of scammers out there right now.. ONLY deal with reputable companies..
