How to close from abroad or a different State?

Hi,

We are buying a couple of small multifamily buildings (both 5+ units) and the bank requires our physical presence to sign the Deed of Trust. Is there a way to avoid attending closing? The closing has been pushed back a month from its original date and now it is right in the middle of our Europe trip this summer. Also, the properties are in a different state of where we live anyways.

We bought properties before in other States, but we bought them cash and we did not need to attend closing as there was no bank involved.

How do you buy properties that you need financing for without attending closing?

Thank you!
