Currently own 3 income properties, looking to turn our primary in to a rental, and build on a lot we own.  Tried to get conventional lending and debt/income ratio does not meet underwriting requirements. (We refinanced all properties to 15 yr mortgages, so our payments are higher)

Both lenders want us to refi back up to 30 year to bring the payment down to meet their underwriting requirements.  We are only looking to borrow about 200,000 to build, and then turn our primary in to an additional rental property.

Does anyone have any advice on what other options may be out there.

Just joined the forum, this is our first post.  thank you for any financing/investing advice you can provide
