Hi all!  I'm just about done with Brandon's book rental property investing and I'm on my way to owning my first investment property. My question to everyone is this. Would you recommend I say this is my home and get a primary home loan or come clean and say it's an investment property and get an investment loan?

My advice is be as transparent and honest as you can. If your intent is to buy and hold, for example, then say its an investment. But if you initially wanted to reside there, then something came up where you needed to relocate but want to keep it as a rental, then that's a different story. Build a good reputation from the start. It'll work out for you in the end.
