VA loan residency requirements

Hey BP folks! So I am currently active duty stationed in San Diego for the next 2.5 years. I am also locked into a lease for almost another 2 years. I plan to move to the Seattle metro area between Seattle and Tacoma when I get out. I plan to use my VA loan with multifamily and house hack for a few properties and have a small portfolio. The VA requires you to move into the unit within 60 days of closing or 12 or more months by exception. Does anyone have any experience with the VA approving loans on the premise that you will move into one of the units upon 60 days of discharge for the future. I will also call around the area to see if some lenders have any experience as well. I just want to say thank you as well to the BP community for all the helpful info out there.
