Lender for 1st position with lost trust
I was wondering if it is possible to get a mortgage in which a lender will take 1st position lien on a home with clouded title. At one point the home was in a trust then transferred into trustee's name. The trust document is no longer available. I asked a local title company and they informed me there is no way to proceed with any loan if they don't have a copy of the old (20 years) trust. Are there title companies or lenders that will look past the lost trust document?
