Help with my second loan

Hello all, This is my first post on BP and I am very interested in using real estate investing to build a future for me and my family, but I will get to the point. I have two homes, one I live in currently, and one I rent(my first home). I want to keep this home because it's in a great rental area 22554 but the problem is the home's second mortgage. It's a balloon that will pop next year if I don't find a way to refi, but the problem is, is that since I purchased the home in 07, it has made no equity, so I'm finding that a standard refi is proving difficult. In order to start my progress toward building a proper portfolio, I need to do something about this loan. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance, Anton K.
